No Rain on Tarzan’s Parade

The rain came… but thankfully, not a moment too soon.   Raindrops first fell as the super session was about to get underway, which meant that the final run of the Unlimited Class was in the clear.   And it was clear that Tarzan Yamada would be king of the Autobahn Country Club jungle when Mark Daddio and the AMS Performance Evo 10 wasn’t able to improve upon their laptime from the first session.   But then, in stunning format Tarzan came screaming around the thirteenth turn and onto the front straight to set a blistering 1:26.735.

Not to outdo himself, but Tarzan didn’t give up winning there.   Tarzan led from the first turn in the Super Session and took the first corner away from Charles Rhyu (who was neck and neck with him from the green flag until the braking point).  After first half of the lap, Tarzan had a 15 car lead on Ryhu’s CRX and only lengthened it from there.
