Anyway, once again, a time attack team has taken an existing record, and destroyed it at a Redline Time Attack. This week, thanks to Luke Russell and the team from Top Speed, Nashville Superspeedway’s old record for a “street car” has been tossed aside and forgotten. The old SCCA record for a unibody car, not of a tube-frame, had been 1:04.095 (:58.9 appears to be the ultimate record in a Star Mazda). Not anymore.
In the second session of the time attack, Russell managed to squeeze out a 1:03.702 from the Top Speed Subaru Impreza Brighton, earning himself first place in the unlimited all-wheel class, as well as the overall championship.

maybe one day i could get my mr2 into street class as i don’t think it could contend in any other. maybe. who knows?
